How To Remove Shortcut Virus From Pendrive

Nowadays shortcut Pendrive virus is the most famous virus. You can see it if you insert your Pendrive and it shows as a shortcut and all of your data moved to that shortcut than it is a shortcut virus.
If you open that shortcut then it will save on your computer permanently. It causes that when you insert Pendrive on your PC, data of Pendrive will be moved in shortcut.

If your PC affected by this virus, you don't have to worry about this. Your PC will not slow down nor damage.

Here's are some simple step to remove shortcut virus from PD(Pendrive) or HDD(hard disk)

Step 1: Open run from the start menu or just press "WindowsKey+R" & type "cmd"

Step 2 : Type drive letter and add ':' like this => D: 
             (here D is drive letter)

Step 3 : Type this code without quotation mark => "attrib -h -s /s /d"
  • And now wait to complete the action, when same drive letter appears in the next line it means action completed.
Note: You have to repeat this method for different pen drive/hard disk to remove shortcut virus. So I suggest you to copy that cmd code and save it in your safe storage.
